Key Features for Model #9991
- Rear Brasero (Ember Maker): Burn hardwood in the rear brasero to produce a continuous supply of hot embers that can be distributed beneath the cooking grates throughout your cook.
- Two Independent Adjustable Grates: Each cooking grate operates separately and is controlled by its own side-mounted hand wheel, allowing you to manage two cooking zones and temperatures at the same time.
- Argentine V-Grates with Drip Pans: Traditional angled V-grates channel grease and drippings away from the fire and into drip pans, helping reduce flare-ups while providing the classic Argentine grilling surface.
- Optional Cooking Grates: Round rod or expanded metal cooking grates are available upon request.
- Open-Front Firebox: Provides convenient access to the fire and embers while cooking. A closed front or drop-down front door is available as an option.

Choose Your Construction
3/16" Black Steel with Stainless Steel Grilling Surfaces
Rugged and traditional, black steel provides excellent heat retention and the classic appearance of a live-fire grill. Stainless steel grilling surfaces provide durability and easier maintenance where food is cooked.
All Stainless Steel Construction
Durable, corrosion-resistant, and lower maintenance. All stainless steel construction is especially well suited for coastal or high-humidity environments, or for customers who prefer the appearance and maintenance advantages of stainless steel.
Complimentary Argentine BBQ Tool Set Included
Every Model #9991 includes a matching 3-piece Argentine BBQ tool set at no additional charge.
- Black Steel Grill: Includes our Black Steel Argentine BBQ Tool Set — a $432 value
- Stainless Steel Grill: Includes our Stainless Steel Argentine BBQ Tool Set — an $802 value
Each set is designed for use with the Argentine V-grate cooking system and includes:
- Fire Poker: A heavy-duty tool for safely moving and managing burning wood, charcoal, and hot embers within the firebox.
- T-Rake: Helps distribute hot embers and charcoal beneath the cooking grates for precise heat management.
- V-Grate Cleaner: Designed to clean between the channels of the Argentine V-grate cooking surface.
How the Rear Brasero Works
The rear brasero is at the heart of traditional Argentine live-fire cooking and provides a continuous source of hot cooking embers.
Load hardwood into the brasero and allow it to burn down. As glowing embers are produced, move them from the brasero and distribute them beneath either cooking grate.
This allows you to maintain and replenish the fire throughout a long cook without placing fresh logs directly beneath your food.
Prefer charcoal? Model #9991 can also be used with charcoal placed directly beneath the cooking grates.
Two Independent Cooking Zones
The split-grate design gives you independent control over both sides of the grill.
Each cooking grate has its own side hand wheel, allowing you to raise or lower the cooking surface according to the amount of heat you need. Lower a grate toward the embers for high-heat searing or raise it for slower cooking and greater temperature control.
Because the two grates operate independently, you can sear steaks on one side while cooking chicken, vegetables, sausages, seafood, or other foods at a different temperature on the other.
